Fred has over 25 years’ experience managing software organizations and aviation software development projects. Fred has founded 8 tech startups including AeroInfo Systems which was bought by Boeing in 2000 and now operates as a subsidiary of Boeing under the name Boeing Vancouver. Over the course of his 10-year career with Boeing Vancouver, Fred directed teams of up to 200 engineers, and managed 20 concurrent aviation software development and installation projects.
Fred is an expert in managing and growing organizations from concept to exit. He is also an investor, advisor, speaker & member of several boards including UBC AIESEC & Rick Hansen’s Institute Commercialization Advisory board. He is a frequent guest speaker at UBC’s Entrepreneurship classes, a panel member at Portugal Ventures, a speaker at Rio-Info Conference and a dedicated mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs.

Vimal Kurup is a Sr. Technologist with over 12 years’ experience in software development. Vimal has a degree in Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science from S.A. Rajas Polytechnic in India, and holds an honours PG certificate in Mobile & Computer Applications Software development from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario.
Vimal has been working in aviation software development for several years, and has extensive expertise in designing, programming and managing Full Stack Web Applications using open source technologies. He is also proficient in application development in front-end UI development working with Java, Javascript, C#, .NET, PFH, etc.
